Sounds like a great idea to me! Since you're the DSF secretary, you already know that the DSF will help out any way we can, but for the benefit of anyone else contemplating helping out by organizing a sprint: If there is anything the DSF can do to make a sprint event better (eg paying for catering, helping with any equipment rental costs, or possibly even helping with travel costs to get a core developer in the room) don't hesitate to ask.
