No, it can't be fixed with extra help. The error message is very specific, but it is very wrong. Personally, I see very little value in withholding the is_staff information from intruders, but if that needs to be kept, the error message should be accurate. Something like "Please enter a correct username and password for a %(site)s staff member. Note that both fields are case-sensitive"
