Hi all,

What do you guys think about organizing something like this? The goal
and motivation help get the documentation contents as polished as
possible for the 1.2 release.

If things go as planned the 1.2 RC should have been already packaged by
then and we should be near the date of the tagging of 1.2.

This would an excellent opportunity for people wishing to start
contributing to Django.

I think gathering IRL isn't a indispensable need for this kind of effort
and we can coordinate things via IRC instead. Although participants can
decide to the contrary on some locations if they wish.

Currently there are almost thirty documentation bugs targeted to 1.2 and
time and enthusiasm permitting we could even work on a few more from
the milestone-less list:

http://code.djangoproject.com/query?status=new&status=assigned&status=reopened&group=milestone&component=Documentation&order=priority

I think the review/commit workload generated by such a sprint can be
handled by one core developer. If no one can be online on Saturday then
we can mark the tickets somehow so they can be reviewed and committed on
Monday 10th.

Regards,
