Right now, those of us with commit bits are working pretty hard on getting the necessary bits into the 1.1 alpha release, when they can then have time to settle. Between alpha and beta and beta and release candidate is when we'll put a lot of time into reviewing and closing various other tickets, particular the small feature-adds like this. For whatever reasons, things have just been a little slower over the past couple of months, but that's why we have the ticket tracker: so that things don't get lost.
