Exactly. It's not like testing on 2.3, 2.4, and 2.5 (and soon 2.6) is an easy thing to do. Adding another release (times N database backends, times N OSes, etc.) exponentially increases the number of possible bugs. I'm trying to *reduce* the number of support Pythons before we start adding new ones!
