I just uploaded a patch [1] to add nightly functionality as discussed in ticket #1327 [2] to the django_website application which you may find useful. It's based on pysvn and could be either triggered by going to http://www.djangoproject.com/nightlies/latest.tar.gz (zip and tar.bz2 also possible) or via the included make_nightly() utility as a cronjob. The remaining options are described in the docstring.
