Thanks.
N100 with Intel nic is an option.
I had a low power Arm board in mind like
https://www.friendlyelec.com/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=294
that comes with 8-16GB RAM, 64GB eMMC flash for OS, 2,5G nic and 4 x M.2
NVMe up from 120 usd.

Pardon top post, on the road.
Illumos can boot off low power x86 systems like the Alder Lake N100 now that
igc(4D) for I225/226 is in, and a good chunk of those systems use igc. I run
an 8gb one at home for Intel CPU fix tests.

I am a little confused.
With my new napp-it cs, a client server web-gui I want to manage not only
conventional ZFS server or groups (BSD, Illumos, Linux, OSX, Solaris, Windows)
but also ultra tiny, ultra low power, low RAM and fanless ZFS Arm/ X86 devices
down to a Raspberry or Odroid with 4GB RAM as napp-it cs requires nearly no
resources on such devices.

I have seen that there is work on an Arm,

Is this a project for the far future or is Illumos for low power hardware
mature?
