I'm also surprised to hear that bit of news, especially since the wanboot component of openssl is never built on x86. I just installed a couple of SVR4 packages on OpenSXCE2013.05__Illumos20130516, one of Martin's distros. I used pkgutil to do this, not one of the SVR4 package commands. As far as I could tell, it's a perl script that only downloaded the package file, and then ran a normal pkgadd on the it. > Although if we carry on at this rate we won't have any consumers > of openssl left.
