This helps! I think the initial concern is with some Asian languages which do not have the 'r' sound, therefore there is difficulty in pronouncing the first part, 'Libre'. Typically, the 'r' comes out as an 'l'. Therefore, 'Libre' = 'Li' + 'Bre', where 'Li' is as in 'LI-ma' (the city), and 'Bre' as in 'BREA-d' (bread).
