I fixed this a couple of days ago in latest SVN.

So, may you give us the URL? I tried without success:

svn co svn://svn.savannah.nongnu.org/gap/tags/GShisen-1_3_0
svn co svn://svn.savannah.nongnu.org/gap/tags/GShisen-1_3_1

I begun also to use this:
svn co svn://svn.savannah.nongnu.org/gap

But it downloaded too many things, so I stopped it before it has 
achieved.
