Okay, I put a bandaid over the issue affecting the testing instance. Namely, I disabled the monthly metrics module that stopped working, potentially after R Foundation released R 3.3.2 yesterday. Fixing that is low-priority at the moment.
All dashboards on http://discovery-beta.wmflabs.org/ are working OK. Thank you for your patience. Now on to getting main instance up and running...
