Hi again,
I played around with boot options and so on...
It seems booting with radeonfb is impossible, while vga=xxx works quite
well.
Anyway, via modprobe radoenfb i can load the radeon framebuffer module after
the system has started.

When running any DFB-application with radeonfb loaded, my screen gets black
and everything gets stuck. I can only reboot - or access via ssh.
When running via ssh with radenfb loaded, i can see this output:

When running with the Vesa-Module loaded, the screen gets black and after 10
seconds I'm back at command line.
(Output was posted yesterday, pretty much the same as above, but without the
radeon-related stuff...

I'm playing around with DirectFB and the fbev/DRI environment from mesa3d
since a month now - and up to now I did never ever see any graphics rendered
through the framebuffer except the penguin on boot time when booting with
vga=xxx.
What am I doing wrong? My Video-Card should be supported, i compiled all
programs without errors...
Did I oversee anything very important? Or just bad luck?

I just tried the ByzantineOS-LiveCD, it refuses to start... I tried it on a
7 years old laptop and it worked...
Maybe DirectFB would run on the Laptop, but it's HDD is dead... and I'll get
the new one next week... Let's hope and pray.

If you have any idea why it refuses to work for me, please tell me.

Regards
