My system has 256MB of memory.
I did what you said and here is the output when I start a small direcfb
application which draws two rectangles and some text to screen:

The image I get onscreen appears all distorted (compared to the image I get
if I dont use the directfbrc file). I am a concerned about the
"Davinci/OSD: FBIO_SETPOS (fb0 - 0,0) failed! --> Bad address" lines.
Could you please explain what they mean?
If you want I can attach the two images(One without using directfbrc and one
with using it)
