Role:Technical Business Analyst

Location: Birmingham, AL

Duration:6+months

We are looking to hire an immediate backfill of a *Technical Business
Analyst* with 3-5 years of experience. Must have *green card *or* US
citizenship* as the client isn’t willing to sponsor. This is a contracted
role

This role is located in Birmingham, AL and the interview process will
likely be one in person interview, and then the candidate would start.



The Business Analyst role supports the project team and existing technical
solutions by developing documentation, reporting, analysis, subject matter
expertise, and project management support.

•             In this role the BA must be adept at taking abstract
direction and working with business partners to translate into specific
deliverables that meet business needs.

•             This position must be adept in translating business needs
into operational and business reporting via process research, database
research, documentation, and reporting development.

•             The role serves as the liaison between the LOB, development,
IT, Business Partner, and Testing, and is key to ensuring the end user’s
vision is translated into actionable deliverables by the programming and IT
teams.

•             The Business Analyst must adhere to the bank’s standards,
methodologies, policies and process established by the Project Management
Office.



BA role requires an individual who has depth within several of the
following disciplines;

•             business process mapping & documentation,

•             database mapping & documentation,

•             reporting development,

•             relational database querying using SQL,

•             SAS Enterprise Guide or similar Querying tools



Required Skills and Education:

•             2+ Years of relevant experience in business analysis.

•             Experience in Financial Services a plus.

•             Experience in business impact or systems analysis, process
documentation and mapping, suggesting and implementing process
improvements.

•             Comfortable utilizing standard business tools (Excel, Word,
PowerPoint, etc.) to build documentation and deliverables.

•             Strong documentation and facilitation skills.

•             Strong written and oral communication skills.

•             Experienced joining & querying relational data tables via
programing (e.g. SQL) to generate data needed to develop reporting.

•             Experience working with technical staff and business users at
all levels of the organization.

•             Degree (quantitative field preferred) or equivalent business
experience utilizing data to building reporting and/or generate analysis to
drive business performance.

•             Banking and lending/fraud experience preferred.
