Hi, from what I saw, licensecheck is just a big collection of regular expressions and a loop that checks them and outputs tags for each matching regular expression. Thus the perl code could be shortened a lot, if those regular expressions and the tags that they should produce would be split in a separate (two column?) text file. In the end, one could easily write licensecheck libraries in other languages (python?) to run licensecheck more easily as part of other applications.
