[17:04:57] <jaheikki3> Lets start from Qt 6.9 status [17:05:14] <jaheikki3> Qt 6.9.1 released, see https://www.qt.io/blog/qt-6.9.1-released [17:05:31] <jaheikki3> The target is to release Qt 6.9.2 during August 2025 [17:05:50] <jaheikki3> That's all about Qt 6.9 status at this time. Any comments or questions? [17:07:12] <vohi[M]> it 6.9.2 planned to be the last 6.9 release, or do we plan a 6.9 release around the 6.10.0 release time? [17:07:42] <jaheikki3> There is 6.9.3 planned to be released around the 6.10.0 release time [17:09:04] <jaheikki3> Ok, then Qt 6.10 status [17:09:20] <thiago> oops, VPN dropped me... [17:09:36] <jaheikki3> Qt 6.10 Feature Freeze is in effect [17:09:53] <jaheikki3> branching from 'dev' to '6.10' is done [17:10:05] <jaheikki3> The target is to release Qt 6.10 Beta1 from the first successful dependency update from '6.10' [17:10:25] <jaheikki3> And the target is to start API Change review for Qt 6.10 during this week [17:10:47] <jaheikki3> There has been 4 feature freeze exceptions so far: [17:10:56] <jaheikki3> QML dock widgets support for Qt Quick Controls (https://codereview.qt-project.org/c/qt/qtdeclarative/+/648149) [17:11:05] <jaheikki3> cmake: map module to import paths in build folder for qmlls (https://codereview.qt-project.org/c/qt/qtdeclarative/+/643577) [17:11:14] <jaheikki3> A new lottietoqml tool (https://codereview.qt-project.org/c/qt/qtlottie/+/646788) [17:11:23] <jaheikki3> Enable expanded client area by default in iOS style ( https://codereview.qt-project.org/c/qt/qtdeclarative/+/649077) [17:11:29] <jaheikki3> Any opinions? [17:11:46] <thiago> no [17:11:58] <thiago> I am assuming "things that were ready but failed to integrate" are fair for still doing so now [17:12:29] <vohi[M]> +1 from me to the cmake map module; new lottietoqml tool; and enabling expanded client area by default; the last one comes with some risk for dependency updates, esp if we were to run tests on iOS, which we don't... the other two are rather risk free, I think [17:13:30] <vohi[M]> as for the dock widgets, I think this needs a fair bit more work before it can be considered to be a complete feature; as commented in that review: tests and examples, without which it is very hard to have a design and API discussion [17:15:53] <jaheikki3> Ok, so QML dock widgets support for Qt Quick Controls won't get an exception, but 3 other ones is OK to be merged in 6.10 [17:17:05] <jaheikki3> or does someone disagree? [17:17:36] <thiago> deferring to volker there, I don't have knowledge of them [17:17:48] <thiago> I don't object to them being granted the exception, but I cannot directly support the request [17:19:44] <jaheikki3> Ok, so no objections so decision is to grant exceptions for 'the cmake map module; new lottietoqml tool; and enabling expanded client area by default' [17:20:14] <jaheikki3> It was all at this time so let's end this meeting now & have new one Tue 10th June at this same time [17:20:26] <jaheikki3> thanks for your participation, bye! [17:20:37] <vohi[M]> thanks, bye! [17:21:06] <thiago> bye [17:21:52] <frkleint> b ye [00:00:00] - {Day changed to keskiviikko 4. kesäkuuta 2025} [07:42:04] <jaheikki3> Hi all!
