Hi Hamed,


No other opinions were raised at the Qt release team meeting today (Jani will 
soonish share the IRC transcript), so based on my impression regarding the 
state of the change, let’s keep working on this for 6.11.

And to be clear: this is in no way a statement about the value of this feature! 
It’s been on our roadmap for a while, and is very much missing from Qt Quick 
for desktop UIs. So again, I very much appreciate that you have been taking on 
the challenge :) To get more traction and engagement from others (and it looks 
like your email already resulted in some:), I’d suggest that you un-defer the 
change, but maybe put it into work-in-progress state until it is complete wrt 
test coverage and examples.

I’m usually on IRC (the #qt-labs channel), so ping me (@vohi) if you feel 
stuck, or would like a pre-check through the CI system to make sure that things 
work and that your tests pass on all platforms.
