Following the “Ghost Maintainer” discussion at the Qt Contributors Summit in June [1] (non-conclusive, but nevertheless relevant), I have proposed a change to the governance model [2] that makes it clearer what is expected from Maintainers, and less (potentially) confrontational to replace inactive maintainers. The latest version of the proposal incorporates all comments made to that change by the reviewers so far.
