This sounds a bit like a standalone tool? Or one that wouldn’t necessarily

is needed?
There is a standalone component (that can be deployed to an embedded target),
but the integration and control from within QtCreator is really nice,
especially with the editing of QML logic or UI in QtC for controlling
simulations.
This sounds like something that a separate repository would solve, with a
submodule e.g. if you want to update based on creator changes.
As I mentioned in another reply, the issue is that QtC changes APIs every
release and that is difficult to maintain separate from QtC.
