Come on - a toolkit ( Qt/Widgets ) for writing user interfaces, that does not make use of the graphics hardware, is begging for being replaced.
Quick Controls 1 was once supposed to be such a replacement, but it failed to a degree, that it became a candidate for removal for Qt6. A technology that needs more than 30 QObjects to create a button simply has no rights to survive only because of compatibility considerations.
