If I remember correctly, there was quite a large amount of comments 
about the initial patch. As far as I can see, there were no followup 
commits so I think the status still is, that there is still a lot of 
work to be done until the module can be part of Qt (even as tech preview).

There were lots of comments about coding style and the generic approach 
for example. Additionally no API review has taken place yet.

I doubt that the module will be ready in time for 5.13 in its current state.
