Note that 'make check' will stop at the first failure, and the QtNetwork tests 
require a test server to be set up.

Alternatively you can skip the QtNetwork tests and the few QFile related tests 
that use this server if you not working on this part of the code.

Yes you can - run qmake / make / make check in a subdirectory (e.g. 
tests/auto/network to run only the QtNetwork tests)
