@pcd1193182 yeah I did not imagine mine would work on illumos unmodified, I
will try to get it to translate.
I was able to get a smartos machine running, and zfs_send_007 failed in nearly
the exact same way as @Ringdingcoder and I were seeing on linux (there was just
one more file that mismatched - 89). Now I just need to figure out how to patch
smartos and rebuild it (looks like [the instructions are
here](https://wiki.smartos.org/display/DOC/Building+SmartOS+on+SmartOS)).
As a sanity check, @pcd1193182 zfs_send_007.ksh worked after you applied the
patch being discussed right? And failed before?
