Hi Alan, Sorry I didn't have a chance to reply to your e-mail sooner. I hadn't seen the specific error during the svccfg build that you've seen. Was there any chance you might have run out of disk space? When I spun up an OmniOS VM the other day and hadn't realized I had run out of disk space during the build, it failed in very surprising ways. I haven't built a fresh OI VM, so I'll try and download that same ISO and give it a run in VMware Fusion and see if I can get the same issue below and see if I can't get some more information on it. I don't use OI hipster that much so I'll see if I can help work out what happened.
