I don't understand what you're saying about the hole birth feature. I don't
have @hole_birth enabled, and yet it happened.
This is a rather catastrophic bug, as for some reason (probably to be found
only in ZFS on Linux), all files are potentially sparse, even if user space
writes them completely full.
