Would you be able to test removing the one-source-tree link step from the gcc build to find out? I am happy to support only building GMP as a package. Chris [ /rant/ ... I really like waf and meson as build systems but the consistency configure brings with --disable-shared is really valuable. It would be nice for waf, meson, ... (anything else) to provide similar support.
