Hi Please post the flyer in the link and encourage students. :)
Google has decided to sponsor the Summer of Code again. This year they have accepted about 200 open source organizations including RTEMS. As thrilled as I am to have students work with RTEMS, there are a LOT of other free software projects that they might find more interesting to them. It is about learning, having fun, and being productive. Last year they sponsored over 1300 students with a successful student getting a stipend of USD6000. This is a virtual program with students working at their home location. We are now in the part of the program where students find a participating open source organization they are interested in. They need to work with that organization's mentors and project ideas and then prepare a proposal. The Google site guides them through this but I am happy to answer questions. Information about the program is at: https://summerofcode.withgoogle.com/ This is a link to the flyer for the program. Please post: https://developers.google.com/open-source/gsoc/resources/downloads/GSoC2020Flyer.pdf RTEMS has mentored over 100 students in the past 14 years of participating. if anyone has questions, feel free to send them to me or Gedare Bloom ( ged...@rtems.org). --joel
