Looks great. I have a few minor points.

1. Is maintaining the existing installed layout and file names a requirement? I
think it is. I suggest adding this to the list at the start.

2. Fig 1 and 2 could be zoomed a little more for the PDF output.

3. Is the ${} expansion something you have implemented? It is a nice feature.

4. Are `links:` and `review:` a base64 format or something else? (I am happy to
see the more compact base64 format being used) Should the items controlled by
Doorstop be listed and lablled as "do not touch"?
