Hi, I have pushed a patch to #3083 [1] that attempts to resolve this issue. I suspect it is related to Linux's install and some checks it is making.
I would appreciate testing and feedback, on the ticket if that is OK. As noted in the ticket `make install` is broken with this change. I will look at that if this resolves the issue.
