Hello Joel, The best way, I found, to use RSB behind restrictive firewalls was to follow these instructions: http://www.emilsit.net/blog/archives/how-to-use-the-git-protocol-through-a-http-connect-proxy/
It essentially forces all git traffic to go through a SOCKS proxy. This works well if the firewall doesn't block SSH connections to the outside world. However, it can be a bit slow.
