I am not aware about enhancements in this direction in Linux kernel. But I consider proposal as right balance between macros complexity, performance, clean code generated and clean type safe programing guideline. But I have not used that code. I have my uLUt for my projects but that is macro monster. Gedare, could you send me your attempt in some compact form, please? Ideal for testing as host build on Linux. I cannot promiss, but I would like to find while to look at the problem.
