Hi There appears to be something in the way the register access macros are defined for the genmcf548x BSP which results in a fairly large number of type-punned breaking strict alias warnings. There are 60 unique warnings reported in this BSP which is 3.5% of the total number of unique warnings overall right now.
The mcf5235 BSP similarly has a large set of these and may be the same pattern. Eliminating these would be appreciated as I think it would nearly eliminate strict aliasing warnings.
