Hello!

Packages having an "old" dist-tag doesn't necessarily mean that the
current version of the package is "bad", it just means that it hasn't
successfully been built since a few mass rebuilds ago.
There are cases where this can cause problems for users of the
package, but that doesn't have to be the case (for example, when the
packages failed to build due to new compiler errors but would
otherwise be fine).

Still, there *is* a process for removing packages that fail to build
for a long time - and it will remove a batch of packages from Fedora
in just a few days:

So if you had generated your list next week, it would have been quite
a bit shorter and shouldn't have listed any packages that were last
built on Fedora 40.

This is intentional, these packages don't follow the same build /
release process as other packages (blame Microslop for Secure Boot
requirements).
