I did a bunch of work in the past to move users from guile 2.0 -> 2.2 and later 3.0, the only remaining user of 2.2 is autogen which I filed a bug on [1] 18 months ago and have heard nothing. Also 2.2 is EOL upstream so I think it should actually be retired.
