While the CentOS/RHEL Go package will always slightly lag behind the upstream 
version due to the Go FIPS patches, RHEL is no longer pinning the Go version 
since 8.10/9.6/10.0 so ideally the lag won't be that much anymore ->

Regarding the new things breaking things, 100% true. I would say that resolving 
the same issue in every branch is better than different issues across different 
Fedora versions, but yes, this is a problem.
