I do not currently have plans to introduce that package, though I would
encourage people who care enough about GNOME to want that package to just go
ahead and package it.

Well, the users who run Rawhide are typically early adopters eager to try
out the latest&greatest bleeding edge, whereas the users who want to stick
to X11 are typically the late adopters or non-adopters who just want to
stick to what works and not be bothered with any unnecessary changes
whatsoever. It is not surprising that the overlap is vanishingly small.
