Mine is the same model, although I use epson-inkjet-printer-escpr instead of epson-inkjet-printer-escpr2. When I searched for the difference apparently the original is fully open source whereas the second one has some proprietary components (which Fedora replaces with the equivalent open components from the original). I do remember that when I tried to print from the printer without installing the driver first, it selected a random HP printer driver (likely from Gutenprint or some other place with generic drivers) and it printed just the command sent to the printer.
