Hello everyone,

I am a software engineer at Red Hat working on the kernel.

Over the past three years, I've been leading a program that has evolved
into a pipeline to get interested people into kernel development with
emphasis on improving Fedora on the Raspberry Pi. Long story short, here is
our project website [0]. We are currently running a course this fall at
UMass Lowell and beyond on kernel development [1]. Contact me if you are
interested in any aspect of that.

One early result of this program is a re-implementation of RPi.GPIO using
kernel interfaces present in the newer kernel used by fedora. We call it
RPi.GPIO2 [2]. I have submitted a review request to add this to Fedora as a
package [3].

Best,
Joel Savitz
