Much of the strongest criticism in this thread (and the ELN thread) is coming from Red Hat employees (often using personal email addresses). Hi. Not many employers would allow airing criticism of a company decision in public, and yet here we are, writing essays about how badly this situation has been mismanaged.

Obviously we can't be *independent*, but we're not being gagged or anything. The alignment between community needs and company needs is (usually) very high. The forge decision is an anomaly, not the rule.
