Hi, as was announced on DevConf.cz 2019 (https://static.sched.com/hosted_files/devconfcz2019/20/Future%20of%20the%20DNF%20package%20management%20stack.pdf) we are working on unified architecture of DNF stack. Finally the plan will lead in removal of hawkey subpackages (Python2/3) from libdnf in Fedora 32 and replace it by new stable API. Ongoing works on the unified architecture of DNF stack requires removal of one class ("hawkey.Repo") from hawkey now (PR https://github.com/rpm-software-management/libdnf/pull/688).
I think this information is relevant to users who use pythonX-hawkey directly.
