Great! I'll tidy these patches up and get them included properly for future releases. :)
If you don't mind a bit of further experimentation, I'd like to sort out those -Werror problems as well. Could you please: * do another clean unzip * apply those two patches again * set CFLAGS and CXXFLAGS like previously * run configure with your usual arguments, but also "--enable-silent-rules" (this will make the 'make' output easier to read) * run "make -k" and send the output The "-k" argument for make tells it that, if there are errors, to keep going anyway for as long as it can, instead of giving up at the first error. Hopefully this will allow us to catch all or most of the errors in one pass, instead of having to tackle them one at a time.
