I would be -1 on that for the reasons discussed in the path. Toree is a mature project with mostly requires community intervention when there are new changes on Spark. All the time that has happened the community has come out and provided the necessary changes to move from Scala 2.11 to 2.12 and recently from Scala 2.12 to 2.13 for Spark 3.x. Also, with the recent addition of a new mentor, we have 3 members that have been overseeing the community.
