Hi @dave2wave, Should we make these description more precise from an OSS point of view? For example, in my opinion “support” never ends: users can ask questions as long as there is somebody willing to answer. In Log4j, we called this event “end of maintenance” (see [versioning policy](https://logging.apache.org/log4j/2.x/versioning.html#maintenance-policy)), which translates to “new releases in this cycle are very unlikely”. Users are still free to report bugs and if they are considered critical (e.g. classified as security bugs) a new version **might** be released. BTW: I love the “cycle” terminology. Many policies say that a certain “version” will receive updates, which is incorrect, because versions are immutable. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
