I *think* I have a fix for this. If folks that have seen this error could test with the latest 8.0.x trunk that would be great. I'm about to kick off the unit tests on Windows, Linux and OSX. If they all pass then I'll start a 8.0.0-RC4 release unless someone else finds an issue before then.
