I was expecting, but missed, some commits to Pool2 (and associated changes in DBCP2) which triggered new CI builds. Because of the order of the Pool2 and DBCP2 commits, there were 2 CI builds of DBCP and that removed the snapshot Tomcat 8 was using. The Tomcat developers were already aware of this issue as Tomcat's own CI build starting failing.
