I ran into this also yesterday, because I had temporary garbage files in
the workspace and suddenly checkstyle checked 4.000 files instead of
2.000. Do you think it would make more sense to use an include list?
I have a slight preference for the current approach but I'm not going to
object if you want change it.
OK, put into state "wait whether more trouble occurs" :)
The include list of course won't solve the "exclude some packages" demand.
