There are five open bugs (and quite a few more enhancements) open for
Tomcat 7. None are significant enough to prevent a stable release.

Nine of the open bugs against Tomcat 6 have yet to be fixed in Tomcat 7.
Again, none are significant enough to prevent a stable release.

I have been running RC4 on my local network (a couple of simple apps)
without issue.

Despite that, given the scope of the changes for Async and the Lifecycle
refactoring I would be surprised if there weren't still some
regressions. Therefore I am voting beta. If no serious regressions are
raised against 7.0.0 then we can always vote to promote it to stable.
