It is very unlikely, that it still works (although I didn't test that) and we had a discussion long ago, that we'll drop the JNI worker latest when we do a new major release (and we never did one).
I'm a little uncomfortable about dropping it before that, but actually before we decide, we should know, whether it is broken or not.
If it is broken, we had to decide to either repair or drop, which might make the decision easier ;)
Others? Did someone observe the use of the JNI worker in the wild during the last say 2 years?
