I agree with the assessment in APF-846 - a conflict is occurring between Xerces
included in the JDK and the version in the application.
The solutions described there should also work for Tomcat 6. Note that the
shared loader only exists as a separate loader if configured in
$CATALINA_BASE/conf/catalina.properties
Note that you also have the option of setting the $JAVA_ENDORSED_DIRS
environment variable.
