I withdrew the release from the server:
- removed 1.2.24 source and binaries from www.apache.org/dist/...
- put back 1.2.23 source and binaries from archive
- reverted the download page and added a warning
- added a withdrawal note to the index and news page in the live online
docs.
It will take the usual time to sync to www.a.o/tomcat.a.o and the mirrors.
I'm going to send a note to the users and dev list.
